There are many famous people with bipolar disorder. Just because you have this mental health condition does not mean you cannot succeed in life. Of course, the symptoms of bipolar disorder can be extremely severe, but with the right treatment, most people can manage the condition.

While severe mania can be dangerous, it can also lead to an increase in goal oriented activities. For instance, a writer suffering from mania can be highly productive during such a state. The same goes for actors, singers, and songwriters. In addition to an increase in goal oriented activity, famous people with bipolar disorder locked in a manic episode require less sleep and tend to access the creative side of their minds with more regularity.
